Question:

Why does my Antelope Installation on a Mac complain about needing Mac OS X 10.6 or higher? It is!

When I try to install the latest version of Antelope (5.1-64), I get the following error:

% ./Install_antelope This software can only run under Mac OS X 10.6.0 or higher

I am running OSX 10.6.3, so why is it complaining and not installing?

Answer:

Try running Apple Software Update to make sure you have the latest patches from Apple applied.
