trexcerpt generally forms a join of sensor, site, sitechan and instrument from which the possible output channels are selected. In cases where an error in the database makes this join incomplete (for example, a particular channel does not find a matching row in instrument), channels will be missing in the output waveforms. Unfortunately, this omission happens quietly.
